King, Patricia A., 85 passed away February 26, 2016. She was born December 27, 1930, to Tom P. and Emily Smith McDermott in Muskogee, Ok. Pat graduated from Monte Casino High School, attended Visitation College in Washington, D.C., and later graduated from OU where she was a Kappa Kappa Gamma. Pat married the love of her life Ray, on Valentine's Day 1953. She and Ray were charter members of St. Pius X Church. She had a career as a homemaker and spent several years teaching at Miss Helen's and also St. Pius X School. Pat was a devoted wife and mother and especially enjoyed her grandchildren in her later years. She enjoyed square dancing with the Memorial Squares, volunteered at the Day Center for the Homeless, helped tutor students at St. Pius X after her retirement, and was actively involved at the Church. Her hobbies included sewing, gardening and camping. Pat was a long time member of "Stitch and Bitch" where she enjoyed the friendship of many. No one was ever a stranger to Pat; she always made everyone feel welcomed and loved. Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, sister, Carolyn Ballew, and brother-in-law Jay Ballew. She is survived by sons Michael (Aileen) of Tahlequah, OK, Chuck (Cathy) of Broken Arrow, OK, Bill (Dee) of Katy, TX, and Tom (Maureen) of Flower Mound, TX; and daughter, Cecilia (Joe) Fincher of Tulsa, OK, grandchildren Steve (Jenni), Amanda, Tim, Chris, Emily, Keara, and Abby King, Jon and Matt Fincher, great grandchildren Olivia and Caitlyn. A rosary will be said 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at St. Pius X Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 3, 2016, St. Pius X Church. Family request memorials be made to St. Pius X School Building Fund.
