Patrick Lane McCrate, age 56, died on December 27, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Patrick was born on May 8, 1967, in Lima, Ohio, to parents Dennis and Marie McCrate. He grew up in Barnesville, Ohio, and graduated from Barnesville High School with the Class of 1985. Pat furthered his education by obtaining a bachelor's degree in Business/Golf Management from Ferris State University. After graduation, he moved to Tulsa and began his career in golf, a sport that was a lifelong passion and a gift that he made accessible to all. He improved the game for countless people in Oklahoma, leaving a lasting impact in Tulsa County.

The center of Pat's world and his greatest joy were his two daughters. Madeline, 25, is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma living and working in Tulsa. Molly, 21, is a senior at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. Pat loved his time golfing with his daughters and following up the round with dinner or an Irish pub. Pat was proud of and loved his Irish roots, passing that rich Celtic history on to his daughters.

A shared connection with his dad and two brothers, Pat loved all sports, enjoyed live music, and engaged in lively political debate whenever possible. Pat's ability to craft and deliver a story was entertaining to all who knew him. He took advantage of every opportunity he had to cheer on the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Pat's family and friends will always remember him as a loyal son, brother, uncle, and friend.

Patrick is survived by Dennis and Marie McCrate of Barnesville, Ohio; siblings Sean (Alisa) McCrate of Barnesville and Tim (Karie) McCrate of Dover, Ohio. He is loved by six nieces and nephews: Will, Hayden, Meghan, Bridget, Liv, and Finnegan McCrate, all of whom he loved to follow in their activities, especially when they raced and competed.

He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Dick and Mary Jane Moffat, and paternal grandparents, Lane and Jessie McCrate.

A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at 2:00 pm, followed by an open house to welcome friends and family. The memorial and reception will be held at Fitzgerald's Southwood Colonial Chapel at 3612 E. 91st Street South, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
