Paul Lee Bisdorf Jr. passed away unexpectedly Nov. 7.

Paul was born on June 16, 1952 in Chicago to the late Paul and Rita Bisdorf. As a young college student, Paul and the family moved to Broken Arrow, and Paul attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. After college, he joined the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers where he had a successful career for more than 40 years.

As a true Chicago native, one of Paul's proudest Chicago moments was when his beloved Chicago Cubs won the World Series in 2016. He and his father attended numerous games at Wrigley Field.

Paul's life priorities were family, church and community which he truly lived every day of his life. He was a devout Catholic and member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Broken Arrow where he served as a lector, Eucharistic Minister and participated in numerous church ministries. He was a paramedic for 39 years; a 25-year Broken Arrow Police Reserve Officer; member of the Broken Arrow Emergency Management Office; involved in numerous search and rescue activities throughout his life as a leader and instructor; and was a longtime ham radio operator (AE5PB) and instructor. Paul will be deeply missed by many.

A Rosary will be held Friday, Nov. 12, at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m., both at St. Anne Catholic Church in Broken Arrow. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.

Paul is survived by his wife Linda Bisdorf; sister Bonnie Quirke and husband Jim; nieces Kate, Missy and Meghan; nephews Jim, Brian and Tim; 10 great nieces and nephews; and numerous close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Dell Bisdorf.
