Obituary
Paul James Dorris, 92, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2016 after a short illness at his home in Tulsa.
Paul was born November 29, 1923 in Florence, Kansas. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from OU. He worked as a petroleum engineer in the oil and gas industry for over 40 years. After retiring, he volunteered many years for St John Medical Center. Paul was active in his parish Holy Family Cathedral and was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Dorris and his sister, Mary Ellen Dorris. He is survived by his sisters, Sr. Mary Evangela Dorris, Patricia Dorris and Mary K. Fonner; sons, Jim Dorris and Russell Dorris; daughter, Kellie Tourigny and husband Paul; and 2 grandchildren. Visitation will be at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel on Sunday, May 15 from 1:00 - 7:00pm followed by Rosary at 7:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 16, 2016 at 10:00am at Holy Family Cathedral in Tulsa.
