Paul J. Padilla, 79, died Monday after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Lucinda. He is survived by daughter, Denise, Camarillo, CA; son, Jon, daughter-in-law, Kelly, granddaughters, Grace, Madelyn and Caroline, Littleton, CO; his wife, Becca, whom he wed in 1997; step-daughter Leslie, step-sons Craig and Russ; step-grandchildren Austin, Ethan, Halle and Zoe; and step-great-grandsons Abram and Ari, all of Oklahoma.
Paul was born June 24, 1935, in Socorro, NM. He graduated from New Mexico School of Mines with a bachelor's of science in petroleum engineering. He retired from Hess Oil after 37 years. His interests included genealogy, golf and reading. He was actively involved in his local parish, Church of the Resurrection, as well as Beginning Experience, Meals on Wheels and Master Gardeners.
Viewing will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel. A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Church of the Resurrection.
