Paula Dawn Goulden, 50, of Tulsa is beginning her next great adventure. She passed away on December 24, 2016, peacefully at her home after a long, hard fought battle with cancer.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa.
She graduated from The University of Kansas where she received her degree in Political Science and worked several years for DHS. Pursuing her passion for children, Paula returned to school and earned her education degree and taught for Tulsa Public Schools for 17 years.She received numerous awards and honors, including the Golden Apple Award for teaching, during her career. Paula was an avid explorer and traveler with a love for anywhere with a beach.
Paula is preceded in death by her father William and her brother Daryl Goulden.
Paula is survived by her husband Kirk Damron, mother Roberta Jury, step father Tony Jury, daughter Isabella Goulden, son Duke Goulden, sister Dawn Jury, brothers Robert Clark, Kelly Jury, Monty Jury, Patrick Goulden and Greg Goulden, step daughters Kaitlyn Damron, Madison Damron, step mother Margaret Combs and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Memorials may be given to Colon Cancer Coalition or the Colon Cancer Alliance.
The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all of the individuals who have done and given so much for Paula, and for helping us all through this hard time.
