Obituary

Peggy Louise Tucker died on November 2, 2022 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Peggy was born on May 1, 1932 in Bethany, Oklahoma to Cecil and Lela Pace. She had one sister, Betty Jo Bethke, and two brothers, Cecil Pace and Dayle Pace. She grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and graduated from Will Rogers High School and The University of Tulsa. While at TU, Peggy was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority and she met Bob Tucker. Peggy and Bob married in May of 1952 at University Methodist Church on the TU campus. They made their home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and raised 6 children. Peggy worked for the Broken Arrow Library for twenty years. While raising her children, Peggy was active in PTA ,and church women's groups. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, the Broken Arrow Garden Club, and numerous quilting and sewing groups. Peggy was an avid reader, knitter, crocheter, and quilter. Her house was filled with material, sewing machines, and quilts she had made over the years. Peggy and her husband Bob were active in the dog show world, where Bob showed dogs and Peggy participated in the social aspect of dog showing. They belonged to multiple kennel clubs both local and national. Peggy loved and enjoyed life, she was an artist and loved beautiful things. She enjoyed people, and never met a stranger. She loved to engage in conversation and she was truly interested in people's lives. She loved to shop (for just about anything) and she loved going places with family and friends. Saturdays were her normal shopping and going out to lunch days. Peggy was a loving, generous soul who will truly be missed beyond measure.

She is survived by: her husband, Bob Tucker, her children Stephanie Smith, Paul Tucker, Anne Tucker, Teresa Tucker, Jill Norman and her husband Clay Norman. Peggy's grandchildren: Jerred Smith and his wife Madeline Smith, Eric Smith, Jacob Norman and his wife Ashley Norman, Ryan Norman, Matthew Norman, Megan Whitehead and her husband Jeff Whitehead, Stephanie Landreville and her husband Jason Landreville. Peggy's great grandchildren include: Palmer Whitham, Aletheia and Isla Norman; Macy, Reese and Ellie Whitehead; Shannon, Rachael, and Nicolas Landreville.

She is preceded in death by her son Philip Tucker.

A funeral is scheduled for Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 2:00 pm at St. Anne Catholic Church in Broken Arrow.
