Obituary
Raymond Earl Davis, age 47, of Tulsa, passed away Friday, August 20, 2010.
He was the beloved son of Ted R. and Pauline (Brown) Davis, of Fort Smith. He is also survived by his sister Sharon Callan, of Fort Smith; brother, Keith Davis, of Springdale, AR; and sister, Joy Guthrie, of Bella Vista, AR; and his lifetime partner, Mark Goldman, of Tulsa, OK.
A highly regarded businessman, Ray worked for over twenty years in the hospitality industry, holding senior management positions in events planning at the Crowne Plaza (formerly known as Adams Mark) Hotel, The Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame and the Doubletree Hotel at Warren Place, all located in Tulsa. He was bright, outgoing, loved to socialize and had a way of making anyone he spoke with feel like the most important person in the room. He will be deeply missed by any and all who knew him.
A Memorial Service was held at 4:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Ivy Chapel, 1402 S. Boulder Ave., Tulsa, OK, on Monday, August 23, 2010. Burial of his remains will be in Tulsa's Rose Hill Cemetery.
