Obituary
Raymond A. Smith, 92, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, died on Thursday, November 16, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel, with burial to follow at 2:30 PM, at Memorial Park Cemetery, in Chanute, Kansas.
He was born in Okemah, Oklahoma, on January 15, 1925, the son of Alfred and Bertha (Sullivan) Smith. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.
He is survived by his son, Mike Smith, and his wife, Nancy, of Glenpool, OK daughter, Pam Berry, and her husband, Tom, of Tulsa, grandchildren, Chad Smith, of Tulsa, Kristi Smith, of Tulsa, Andrew Verboon, and his wife, Christy, of Owasso, OK, and Aaron Verboon, and his wife, Melissa, of Holiday, Florida, great-grandchildren, Taylor, Coby, and Callen Smith, and Ashton, Arion, Acon, and Azelea Verboon, great-great grandson, Landon Smith, brother, Hubert Smith, and his wife, Donna, of Tulsa, OK, and numerous other extended family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Erma, brothers, Leo Smith, and Vernon Smith, sisters, Velma Joliff, Thelma Powell, Rosella Fransisco, and Frieda Duckworth.
Memorial donations may be made in Raymond's name to the Veterans Organization of your choice.
