Regina Ann (Hankins) Fields, born July 14, 1948, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to Spencer Joseph Hankins and Alberta Ann (Stuever) Hankins, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at her home, surrounded by the family she cherished.
On July 13, 1968, Regina married the love of her life, Harry Leigh Fields, at Blessed Sacrament in Lawton. Together they built a beautiful life rooted in faith, devotion, and 57 years of unwavering partnership.
Regina is survived by her husband Harry; her children Chris Fields and his wife Kathy, Tony Fields, and Jon Fields; her grandchildren Kyle and his wife Brooke, Kevin, and Jacob and his wife Kate; and her great-grandson Dominic. She also leaves behind her beloved "granddogs," Chloe and Biscuit. Regina is further survived by her brothers Tim Hankins and his wife Helen, John Hankins and Sara, her sister Nancy Hankins, 23 nieces and nephews, and 27 great-nieces and great-nephews. Additional survivors include brothers-in-law Charlie and his wife Nikki, and sisters-in-law Rita Hill and Linda Fields.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Spencer and Alberta Hankins; her brothers Ross, Tom, and Joe Hankins; her sister Judy Hankins; her father-in-law Charles Fields and mother-in-law Jewell Lorene Fields; brothers-in-law James Fields and JT Hill; sister-in-law Diana and her husband Skiley Schuch; and her niece Cindy Hill.
Regina attended St. Mary's in Lawton for both grade school and high school, where she was a proud cheerleader. Even as a young woman, she lived a life of service-playing the organ, teaching Sunday school at Blessed Sacrament Church, working for her Uncle Ned at Hankins Studio, and helping her mother raise her seven younger siblings.
She met Harry at a church function in Lawton, and from that moment forward, their lives were intertwined. After moving to Tulsa, Regina and Harry became deeply involved at St. Mary's, participating in Love and Deed (even appearing in a commercial for it), Marriage Encounter, the Newcomers Committee, anniversary mass coordination, choir, church office work, and nearly every ministry they could support. Regina also dedicated herself to school activities and sports at St. Mary's and spent time working in the school cafeteria.
Regina loved bowling and proudly earned an award with her team. She found joy in entertaining, cooking, and opening her home to family and friends-always making others feel welcome and cared for.
Throughout her career, she worked for Southwestern Bell, Amerada Hess, and Employment Resources, ultimately retiring after 15 years of service with Goodwill.
Regina will be remembered for quick whit, sense of humor, her grace, her timeless sense of style, and her deep love for her family. She was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother and grandmother, a loyal sister, and a cherished aunt. Above all, she will be remembered for her generous heart and her constant willingness to help others.
Please consider making a donation in Regina's honor to Saint Judes Children's Hospital or Catholic Charities. Flowers may be sent to Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel.
