Richard "Dick" Bevins, 86, passed away peacefully at his home on January 29, 2022.
He was born on November 14, 1935, in Tulsa, the son of Marvin and Clara Bevins. He grew up in the Tulsa area, graduating from Central High School in the class of 1953, then furthered his education at TU, following his military service in the Navy.
On October 29, 1960, he married the love of his life, Terry Oxley, in Tulsa. They remained in Tulsa, having raised their two children.
He owned and operated MW Bevins, Co., specializing in high voltage equipment for lineman.
He enjoyed playing golf, riding motorcycles, and trains.
Dick is survived by his loving wife, Terry, two children, Richard "Rich" Bevins, Jr. (Renee) of Tulsa, Heather Bevins (Mike), of Tulsa, seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and numerous other extended family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel.
