Obituary

Rita (Rah) Huber was born the youngest child of Urban and Esther Waltz in Massillon, Ohio, on Jan. 5, 1928. She was a majorette for the Massillon Tiger High School Swing Band. In 1949, she married Jerry Huber at St. Mary's Catholic Church, and they immediately moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where they had six children followed by 19 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Rita enjoyed a successful business career as "The Fastest Typist in the West," and a building manager. She loved driving her brown Buick Electra convertible down Brookside. Rita is survived by her husband of 67 years, Jerry, and her children; Annie Malloy (Terry), Kathy Detrick, Karen Nickel (Chuck), Paul Huber (Cheryl), John Huber (Kathy) and Jim Huber (Julie). Rita was a spirited lady; happy, smart, and caring, and she is deeply missed by her large and devoted family who will keep her legacy of love alive. Rita left this world on June 16, 2015. Donations may be made to the Bishop Kelly Football Stadium Renovation Fund Drive. Go Tigers! Rosary 7:00 p.m. Sunday and Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. Monday both at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1520 S. Rockford, Tulsa. Interment, Calvary Cemetery, Tulsa.
