Robert (Bob) Dan McKim Jr., 87, of Leawood, KS, passed away on February 28, 2024, after a brief illness.
Bob was born on November 24, 1936, to Robert Dan McKim and Violet Edith Shannon McKim in Kansas City, Missouri. In 1946, the family moved into their Leawood, Kansas home, where Bob continued to reside until he moved to Tulsa, OK to be closer to his family.
Bob attended Shawnee Mission High School and was in the last graduating class before the school branched into different campuses. Bob spent his working years at Black and Veatch, where he made many friends and associates. After retirement, Bob enjoyed local sports, his neighbors, the simple life, and above all his faith in God.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Edith McKim, his older sister, Shannon Mead (Keith), brother-in-law James Vise, and great nephew Samuel Vise. He is survived by his younger sister, Mary Vise of Tulsa, OK. He also leaves behind nieces Andrea Dominey (Doug and children Elise and Eric) of Veradale, WA; Danielle Mead of Houston, TX; Kim Koehler (Drew and children Ashlyn, Jennifer, and Amber) of Cheyenne, WY; Nephew Dan Vise (Jill and son Ben) of Tulsa, Ok; and Cousin and good friend Craig McKim of Leawood, KS and Cousin Susan Clauser of Omaha, NE.
