ROBERT HENRY SCHLENKER d.10.31.15
Robert Henry Schlenker, b. February 17, 1930 in Tulsa, was the only child of Amor Schlenker and Ursa Rennels Schlenker, natives of Charleston, Illinois. Shortly after their marriage, Mr. Schlenker's parents relocated from Charleston to Tulsa during the 1920s oil boom. Mr. Schlenker was a lifelong resident of downtown Tulsa's Riverview Neighborhood, a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church, and graduate of Central High School. He retired as an electrical engineer in 1993 from the US Corps of Engineers after more than 40 years of nearly perfect attendance. Mr. Schlenker was a kind and quiet man, remembered for his good-natured earnestness, unfailing work ethic, and comprehensive knowledge. He was humble, generous, and deeply considerate of others.
