Robert Michael Kurowski, age 72, died on April 22nd, 2023, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Bob was born on April 10, 1951 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to parents Mike and Wanda (Ponczka) Kurowski. He graduated from Plymouth Whitemarsh High School in 1969, then furthered his education by obtaining a degree in Physical Education from West Chester State College. In 1973, he moved to Tulsa and accepted a position as a Police Officer for the City of Tulsa, where he worked for more than 29 years. On December 18th, 1971, he married Nancy Gerlach, and they made their home in Broken Arrow.

Bob was deeply involved in Broken Arrow Soccer Club and his daughters for the majority of his life. He enjoyed soccer, his girls, and a cold beer. His family and friends will always remember him as a coach, mentor, and protector.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nancy, and his four children: Lynn and Steve Sullivan, Victoria and Alejandro, Joshua and Krystal, Kaylynn; Amy and Brian Shugart, Brendon, Brooke, Regan, and Hailey; Megan and Reggie Simpson, Emily, Drew, Gracie, and Jordan; Sarah and Brad Hill, Christian, Kaitlyn, and Cole. Bob had one great grandchild, Ivy. He also has two brothers, Richard and Ron, two sisters, Michelle Howard and Susan Kurowski, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Mike and Wanda Kurowski and his mother in law, Rosemarie Gerlach.

A funeral Mass is scheduled for 11:00 am on Thursday, April 27th, at St. Anne Catholic Church, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held 3-5 pm Wednesday, April 26th at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Following the visitation a rosary will be prayed Wednesday, April 26th, 7:00 pm, at St. Anne Catholic Church, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
