Robert Eugene Lee (Robert E. Lee), "Bob" – "Poppy", passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015. He was born on August 23, 1925 to Oliver Lee and Dolda Dasen Lee in Bode, Iowa. He had one sister Beverly and one brother, Terry. He served our country honorably with the Navy "Merchant Marines" during World War II. He married Faye Martin in 1959. Bob was retired from McDonnell Douglas in 1986. Bob enjoyed the outdoors – gardening, working in the yard, and most of all "playing" with his family in his backyard pool. Bob "Poppy" loved his family dearly. He was preceded in death by; his wife, Faye Martin Lee; parents, Oliver and Dolda Lee; sister, Beverly; and daughter Marion Jacewitz; and granddaughter Chrissy Russell. He is survived by; brother, Terry Lee; two nieces, Vicki Miller and Tami Loges; two children, Deborah Withers and Charles Mayes, along with his wife Betsy Mayes; grandchildren, Nicholas and wife Janey Jacewitz, Vanessa and husband Bryan Rogers, Courtney and husband David D'Arcangelo, Stefan and wife Keli Jacewitz, Terry and wife Julie McKowen and Kari Lynn McKowen; and 17 great-grandkids, Camden, Max, Ayden, Anna, Tytus, Asher, Nora Drake, Leah, Conner, Nicholas, Truman, Maddie, Emmie, Wilson, Keller and Chloe.
