Obituary

Our Lord called Bob Norman home early Monday morning September 3, 2012.
Robert Justin Norman died on Labor Day Monday September 3rd 2012 at St John's Hospital in Tulsa, OK. He was 80 years old. Robert Justin Norman was born in Wellston MO. September 26, 1931 to George Martin and Eleanor Able. At the age 2 ½ they moved to Chicago IL and then on to New York, NY in 1939 and finally onto Tulsa, OK in 1947. He graduated from Central High School in 1950. He married Doris Elaine Bailey September 27, 1952. Bob went to work for Bradford Motor Works of Bradford PA for 19 years. He started his own business, R.J. Norman Company at 2844 N Sheridan Rd in Tulsa in 1969, fabricating machine parts and doing office installations for Southwestern Bell Company. He retired in 2000 leaving the business to his son. Bob and Doris celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2002 and Doris passed away that year on November 25 2002.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents George M. and ELeanor Able Norman and his first wife Doris E. Norman. Bob and Doris had two children a daughter Monica Lynn Hough, granddaughter Megan Blair Hough and grandson Justin Todd Hough in Grapevine TX, a son Robert Justin Norman III (and wife Kim) granddaughter Jenna O'Fallon Norman of Tulsa OK. (All surviving)
Bob is survived and loved by his brothers, Ronald Thomas Norman and his wife Jackie, daughter Jennifer her husband Cullen Mc Conan and daughter Lillian, their son Matthew and his wife Rachael and their sons Ronald, Robert and Nate all of Tulsa. Eugene Gregory Norman and his wife Jan, his daughter Vickie and her husband Bruce Butcher and their family in Dallas TX, Cindy Siegrist and her family in Oklahoma City OK., Tony and her husband Larry Marks and their family in Yukon OK.
In 2004 Bob married Donna Ford and moved to Grove OK on Grand Lake.
Bob is survived and loved by his wife of over 8 years, Donna, stepson Kevin Ford and his wife Phyllis and grandson Devin and granddaughter Aubrey in Houston TX. Bob is also survived and loved by his two friends, Suki and Bailey.
Bob was a big collector of toys, mostly cars, planes, trains and Airline memorabilia particularly American Airlines where his father had worked for more than 40 years. He was a member of Grand Lake Corvette Club. He just loved people and would talk to anyone that had time to talk about anything they wanted to talk about. All who met him liked him. He was a gentleman from the old school as well as being a Gentle Man. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Services will be at Fitzgerald-Southwood Colonial Chapel at 3612 E 91st Tulsa 918-291-3500 on Friday September 7, 2012 with viewing at 1:00 and Funeral Services at 2:00 PM. Bob will be placed next to Doris in their Mausoleum there at the cemetery along with the Committal Service.
