Robert G. Pettus, loving husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather, passed from this life surrounded by his loved ones, on November 23, 2014. He was born the third of three children to Frank and Jewel Pettus on January 7, 1935 in Kilgore, Texas. His family moved to Evansville Indiana where he graduated high school. He moved to Tulsa and started his career as a draftsman in 1957. He was employed as a draftsman for Fell, Brusso, Brutton and Knowels (now known as BKL) for 38 years until his retirement in 2005.
Robert enjoyed playing golf, collecting coins and stamps, watching his Grandsons play baseball, traveling but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Katheryn Pettus, a sister Barbara Ancona, his twins Matthew Pettus and wife Debra Pettus, Melissa Pettus Flynn and husband Jack Flynn, his step daughter Sheryl Pierce, as well as 8 grandchildren, Nathan, Natalie and Nick Pettus, Amanda, Allen and Andrew Flynn, and Dustin and Emily Horrocks. He also has 3 Great Granddaughters
Robert is preceded in death by his mother, father, Brother Ben and step son Michael Pierce.
Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2014 at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel, 918-291-3500.
