Robert "Bob" A. Russell passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025, at the age of 93. He was born on November 25, 1931, to John Walker and Leona May Russell in Wichita, Kansas, and he was raised in Mattoon, Illinois.

He is survived by his wife and best friend, Alice Russell, his 4 daughters and their spouses, Roxanne (Wayne) Lee, Robin (Mark) Berry, Tammy (Jon) Cope, and Wendy (Alex) Delgado, and his 4 stepchildren and their spouses, Ron (Connie) Feeley, Sheri (Jim) Pate, Jim (Gail) Feeley, and Mike (Quita) Feeley. He had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bob's life was most defined by his deep love and devotion to Alice. Married on September 15, 1972, they shared 53 years together as true partners-best friends who supported one another through every season and filled their days with adventure. Their relationship became the heart of their family and a legacy of love that will carry on for generations.

A proud U.S. Navy veteran, Bob served during the Korean War. He was on an aircraft carrier for 8 months and stationed in San Diego. After his service, he built a career in sales and advertising and later worked for the Federal Government in Denver, Colorado. Upon retirement from the government, in 1997, he and Alice enjoyed years of travel - crossing the country in their motorhome and cruising extensively around the world together.

Bob was kind in his own unique manner and was never afraid to offer his opinions. He was well read, and he enjoyed learning and discussing his vast knowledge of world history. He enjoyed good company, conversation, and finding humor in life's simple moments. He had a love for people and for life itself that always kept him moving forward. Those who knew him will remember these distinctive characteristics that he carried through every chapter of his 93 memorable years.
