Robert Allen Sievert, age 70, retired Los Angeles Police Detective died at home on April 24, 2013. He was the son of Robert Clayton Sievert and Mary Lucille (Crawford) Sievert Bell. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and by his younger brother, Bill.
Bob was a Vietnam veteran and spent several years in the 1970's as a Sky Marshal. He was a greatly loved father and grandfather and a favorite uncle of many nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews. Bob had his commercial pilot's license and loved flying. He was Treasurer of the Oklahoma Cushman Club and loved going on scooter rides on his antique scooter with his many friends in the club. Bob was also an accomplished artist. Most of all, Bob loved doing anything with family.
Bob is survived by his son, Mitchell Sievert of Wrightwood, California, and his step-daughter, Lisa Hickey and her husband Sean of Monrovia, California, his step-son, Jim Lavender of Monrovia, California, by his brother, James Martin Bell and his wife Denise of Broken Arrow, and by his sister, Barbara Glass and her husband Ron of Tulsa and by his sister-in-law Debbie Whittaker and her husband, Fred, all of Tulsa. He is also survived by his grandchildren Taylor Sievert, Rylee Sievert, Trent Sievert, Tristan Hickey and Nathan Hickey and a host of nieces and nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a contribution to the Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation or to the charity of your choice.
