Robert Slagle, aged 90 died on October 23rd, 2022, in Tulsa, OK.

Robert was born on October 17th in Shawnee, OK, to parents Robert and Grayce Slagle. He graduated from Norman High School in the class of 1950, then furthered his education by obtaining a degree in business management from Oklahoma University. Robert was a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army and was honorably discharged in 1956. Soon after, he took a job with Texaco in sales and marketing. His career at Texaco spanned over 40 years until his retirement. On April 25, 1958, he married Betty May Cutler, and they made their home in Oklahoma City before moving to Tulsa in 1968.

Robert enjoyed all sports, and played golf into his 80's. He also loved taking long walks and watching OU football and basketball games. His family and friends will always remember him as a loyal friend and devoted husband and father.

He is survived by his children: Tammy Easky, Roger and Tina Slagle, Sharri and Ellis Downing, and Cindy and Chuck Myers; his grandchildren: Chayne Easky, Emily Downing, Abby Downing, Rhett Myers, Sam Slagle, and Aaron Myers; and by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Betty, his oldest son, Robert, and his siblings Knox Slagle, Sue Sharp, Mary Treadway, and Sally Hudlow.

A funeral service is scheduled for Monday, October 31st, at 1:00 PM at Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church. Flowers can be sent to Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Funeral Home or Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Meals on Wheels or Kirk of the Hills in his memory.
