Robert was born on October 10, 1951, in St Peter, Minnesota, to parents Robert John Welsh and Mary Geraldine "Geri" Welsh. He graduated from Southeast High School in the class of 1969, then furthered his education by obtaining a Nursing degree from St. Joseph School of Nursing, completing the Nurse Clinician/Practitioner Program at Wichita State University, and earning his Master of Arts in Business Administration from Webster University. His family and friends will always remember him as a teacher, mentor, talented craftsman, and a devoted husband, dad, and "Popper."
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marjorie 'Margie' Welsh; his three daughters, Korey Rogers and husband Jared Rogers, Adair Welsh, and Riley Horton and husband Parker Horton; and his four grandsons, Ames Rogers, Maxton Welsh, Wells Horton, and Perry Horton, all of Tulsa.
