BODEN, Ronald C. M.D., passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 18, 2009. He married the love of his life, Dolores, in Rochester, NY in 1958. Together they shared 51 years of happiness. Dr. Boden was a graduate of Aquinas Institute and St. John Fisher College in Rochester. He received his doctorate of medicine from Georgetown University in 1959, followed by residency in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Mary's a hospital in Rochester, NY. In 1968, he was called to duty with the U.S. Army, where he served proudly at Fort Sill, OK, achieving the rank of Major. As a student of Eastman School of Music, he developed his love of music and composing. Dr. Boden practiced OB-GYN for over 30 years in both Rochester and Tulsa. He was a member of The American Medical Association, The Oklahoma State Medical Association, The Tulsa County Medical Society, The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, The American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and was past president of The Tulsa County Obstetric and Gynecology Society. After retirement he organized the "Mardi Gras" orchestra while performing for many years with the TCC band and symphonic orchestra. In addition to his wife Dolores, he is survived by; daughters, Patrice Greenawalt and husband Scott, Edmond, OK, Pamela Sue Pittman , Tulsa, OK and Amy Marie Richards and husband Jim, Claremore, OK; and, seven grandchildren, Spencer and Stephen Pittman, Gary, Matthew and Abby Hickman and Grace and Lucy Greenawalt. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 1304 North Dorothy, Claremore, OK 74017 or to Central Oklahoma Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 2212 Northwest 50th St., Suite 158C, Oklahoma City, OK 73112. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 to 7:00p.m. Monday, December 21, 2009 followed by a Rosary at 7:00p.m., both at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel and a Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Claremore.
