Ronald Gene Cannon
May 11, 1952 - September 10, 2015
Ronnie was born on Mother's Day, May 11, 1952 to Lester and Oleta (Smith)
Cannon in Tulsa, OK. He graduated from Charles Page High School in Sand
Springs, OK in 1970. He began his surveying career with the Highway
Department in Oklahoma then moved to Houston to hone his Party Chief skills
as a land surveyor. Ron retired from the City of Tulsa as a Registered
Professional Land Surveyor. His office was in the woods and he loved being
outside.
While retired Ron enjoyed playing with his beautiful grandchildren, gardening
with his wife, listening to music and going to concerts with his brother, playing
with his dogs, going shooting with his son and friends.
Survivors include his wife Libby, son Andy and Misty Cannon, brother Jimmie
and Margaret Cannon, nephew Brian Cannon, four grandchildren Kelsey, Kacey,
Chandler, Preston, and his dogs Moses and Mia.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents Lester and Oleta (Smith) Cannon,
brother Gerald Leroy Cannon, and his daughter Elyse Juliann Cannon.
Memorial service is at 2:00 pm, Tuesday September 15, 2015 at Fitzgerald
Southwood Colonial Chapel in Tulsa. Ron will be cremated per his wishes and his
ashes will be buried at Calvary Cemetery by his daughter at a later date.
Family wishes to invite everyone to Agusta Green Clubhouse in Jenks after the
service 10754 Masters Circle, Jenks, OK 74037, to reminisce about the good
old days with Ronnie.
