Obituary

Ronald Guy Paquette was born September 27, 1943, in Salem, Massachusetts. He passed into eternal rest on February 18, 2024, at the age of 80, in Owasso, Oklahoma. His father was Lucien G. Paquette and his mother is Alice (Fournier) Paquette, and he was the oldest of three children.

After Ronald graduated St. Joseph School in Massachusetts, he joined the US Air Force where he was stationed in Altus, Oklahoma. He also served at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California, and then was stationed in Guam in 1968, at the end of the Tet Offensive. After his honorable discharge, Ronald worked with a private defense contractor company in California until he moved back to Oklahoma, to pursue of his higher education. After earning his bachelor's from Oklahoma State University in 1975, he earned his master's degree at Northeastern State University. Ronald was a professor at Tulsa Community College teaching in the robotics, electronics, math, and computer fields. He retired in 2000, but after retirement, he freelanced and volunteered in the Tulsa community.

Ronald was preceded in death by his father Lucien and his brother Paul. He is survived by mother, Alice Paquette (age 102), and sister, Linda McCarthy. He is also survived by his wife of 58 years, Lidia Paquette; his children, Veronica (Robert) Hensley, Matthew (Anna) Paquette, Keith Paquette, and Monica Paquette; and his grandchildren, Madison (Damon) Paquette, Maria (Ozzie) Taylor, Mikaela (Brendon) Paquette, Natalia (Devan) Paquette, Kiana Fallis, Megan Paquette, Kevin Paquette, Ellie Torres, and Christopher Torres. Ronald also has four great-grandchildren, Sora Medlock, Landon Taylor, Addie Burruss, and Afeni Carnes.

Viewing is at Fitzgerald Ivy Chapel, 1402 S Boulder Avenue, Tulsa, on Wednesday, February 21, from noon to 5 pm. Funeral is Thursday, February 22, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 820 S Boulder Avenue, Tulsa, at 10 am, with a gathering following mass. Burial Service 1 pm, at Calvary Cemetery, 9101 S Harvard Ave, Tulsa.
