Ronald Lindsey Smith was born June 14, 1945, in Tulsa to David Purcell Smith and Charlotte Segal Smith. He died Saturday, December 7, 2013. Ron attended Will Rogers High School and the University of Tulsa. While he was proficient in a variety of areas, he enjoyed his work for many years as an independent petroleum land-man. Ron is survived by his wife Bernadette Pinion Smith of their home; their son Dr. Sean Lindsey Smith and his wife Lisa Coffee-Smith; their grandsons Brendan Lindsey Smith and Spencer Williamson Smith; his brother David A. Smith and his wife Carol Smith of Coral Springs, Florida; his sister Julie A. Weiss of Albuquerque, New Mexico; his brother Douglas P. Smith of Tulsa; one nephew and four nieces. Ron was preceded in death by his daughter Tara Elizabeth Smith. Ron spent almost two months at Hillcrest Hospital where he received exceptional care from their dedicated doctors, nurses, techs, and their support staff. For this, his family and friends are deeply grateful.
