Obituary

Rosamond (Wilcox) Sievers was born August 2, 1915 in Anthony, KS, beloved daughter of Herbert L. and Lemuella Wilcox. She passed from this life on March 27, 2013 at the age of 97.

In 1934, Rosamond married the love of her life, Henry L. Sievers. Moving from Anthony, KS in 1942, they made their home in Tulsa, OK, where they raised their six children.
She was preceded in death by Henry, her husband of 70 years, two brothers, Lyman and Ralph Wilcox, two sisters, Catherine Graeser and Emma Beal, and a granddaughter, Donna Bartlett. She is survived by her children, Robert & Nancy Sievers, of Boulder, CO, Carol & Don Wright, of Tulsa OK, Gary Sievers, of Tulsa, OK, Johanna & the late Ray O'Connell, of Westminster, CO, Phil & Terri Sievers, of St. Paul, MN, and Theresa & Ric Zamora, of St. Louis, MO. She is also survived by her brother, Herbert L. Wilcox (Carole), 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

She was a faithful member of St. Francis Xavier Parish for 64 years, where she sang in the choir and dedicated many hours of service to the school, church, and Women's Club. She cherished the many close friendships she developed. Some of her many other "loves" included family gatherings, gardening, crafts, traveling, & Girl Scouts. She took great pride in her family and their accomplishments and always carried a family photo album to share. Her family and friends were richly blessed to have had such a wonderful role model.

Rosamond was an amazing woman that lived a very full rich life. She touched many hearts and souls with her unending love, her dedication to serving others unselfishly, her personal strength, and her constant example of how to live life to its fullest. She will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved her, but her presence will continue to be felt forever.

Rosamond's life will be celebrated with Visitation (4 p.m.-7 p.m.) and Rosary (7 p.m.), Sunday, March 31, at Fitzgerald's Ivy Chapel, 1402 S. Boulder, Tulsa, OK, 74119. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 1, 10 a.m., at St. Francis Xavier Church, 2434 E. Admiral Blvd, Tulsa, OK, 74110, followed by internment at Calvary Cemetery, 91st & Harvard, Tulsa, OK.

Friends can honor Rosamond's memory with contributions to Alzheimer's Association ( www.alz.org ) or St. Francis Xavier Women's Club.
