Obituary

Rose Saviano died peacefully in her sleep June 8, 2014. She was born in NYC to Anthony and Rose Scrima on November 11, 1918, Armistice Day. Rose grew up in the Bronx where she met and married her husband John Saviano. They had two children whom they raised in Yonkers NY.

Rose was a devoted homemaker who took care of the family while her husband traveled to grow his successful business. She had many friends from all the places they lived. After New York they moved to the Los Angeles area in 1969 and were there for 11 years. They retired & moved to Tulsa from 1980-1985 and then moved to Sun City West, Arizona. There Rose played golf and enjoyed an active social life with her husband. She was an avid bridge player and hospital volunteer.

John passed away in 1993 and in 1995 Rose moved to Tulsa. She spent the last six years at Town Village where she enjoyed playing bridge, poker with the "boys" and visiting with her many friends. Rose always enjoyed a good time and missed the wonderful ballroom style dancing she and John did so much throughout their marriage.

She is survived by her son Ralph (Claudia) Saviano of New Jersey, daughter Virginia (Mike) Ayling of Tulsa, sister Lucy DiMattina and grandchildren John (Allison) Saviano, Charlotte (Jeffrey) Waterbury, Nick (Lisa) Saviano, Josh (Jennifer) Saviano, Victoria (Will) Burge and Michael (Lori) Ayling. Besides her 6 grandchildren she also had 11 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

There will be a prayer service Sunday evening June 15th @ 7PM at Resurrection Catholic Church 4804 S. Fulton. Her funeral Mass will be Monday June 16th @ 11AM also at the Church of the Resurrection.
