Royce Lynn Stunkel, born January 13, 1951, in Bird City, Kansas, died December 5, 2021, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He was 70.
Royce was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest A. Stunkel and Jessie M. (Morlan) Stunkel, and his sister, Joan Stunkel- Molleker.
He is survived by: brother, Larry Stunkel (wife Leslie), of Hutchinson KS: wife. Freda Stunkel, of Broken Arrow OK; daughter, Amanda Stunkel-Miller (husband Jim Miller), and grandchildren, Ian Miller and Zoey Miller, of Lee's Summit, MO; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
After graduation with a degree in Pharmacy from University of Kansas, Royce was a pharmacist at St. John Medical Center. After working 32 years, he retired in 2014. He was a devoted member of the KU Alumni Association. Royce enjoyed photography, reading, history and sci-fi, family time, and traveling to Branson and historical locations, such as Williamsburg.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 12th, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Ivy Chapel, 14th and South Boulder Avenue, in Tulsa. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Christ the King Church, 10:00 a.m., on Monday, December 13th .
