Mrs. Ruby L. McGonigal, 78, of Jenks, Oklahoma, passed away on May 25th, 2017.

Ruby was born in Stigler, Oklahoma to Bill and Laura Opal Beeler on March 13th, 1939. Her family moved to Jenks when she was 9. She attended Jenks schools until she married Ted McGonigal on June 20th, 1955, in Tulsa Oklahoma. She then attended Roberts Beauty Training Center and graduated in October 1956 with the specialty of cosmetology. She then opened Ruby's Beauty Shop and later, Lasting Impressions Gift Shop in Jenks. She was dedicated to her family, her church and her community. Ruby served on the Jenks Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, The Jenks City Council and Leadership Jenks for many years. She was very instrumental in the project of the Jenks Aquarium.

Ruby is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Laura Opal Beeler, brothers, Laborn and Tilman Beeler, sisters, Cora Pugh, Dovie Peevyhouse and Billie Sue Smith.

She is survived by her husband, Ted McGonigal, her children, Theresa Dewhurst and husband James, Kelly McGonigal and wife Kirsten; her grandchildren, Aaron McGonigal and wife, Madonna, Chloe' Dewhurst, Lacey Hardin and husband, Donovan and Aubrie Puffenbarger; great grandchildren, Emmett and Gentry Hardin, Carson Puffenbarger and Atticus McGonigal; brother, Leamon Beeler, sisters, Jane Davis, Joyce Fouts and Reba Bradly; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, May 29th, from 6 to 8 pm at Fitzgerald's Southwood Colonial Chapel, 3612 E. 91st St., Tulsa, OK

Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 30th at Harvest Church, Chapel in the Woods, 3707 E. 101st St., Tulsa, OK. Pastor Jon Wakefield will be officiating.
