Ruth M. Farrell (Linihan) passed away in her Tulsa home December 28, 2016 at the age of 93. Ruth was born at home on November 12, 1923 to her late parents, George and Sophia (Junger) Linihan, and grew up and worked on the family's farms around Tulsa with her three brothers and sister. On May 14, 1957,she married Ray E. Farrell in Tulsa and together they raised three sons in a house across the street from her family's farm. Ruth never traveled far, but she will always be known for welcoming family and friends to her home. While the cast of relatives around the dining table each year for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners changed, all who attended will long remember the good food, great conversation, family stories and many laughs. Also an avid reader, jigsaw puzzle solver and handicraft maker, Ruth crocheted countless afghan throws for family and friends. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by three siblings: Paul Linihan, Eva Hayes and Tim Linihan. She is survived by her husband of nearly 60 years, Ray Farrell, sons Norman (Carol Tocco) Farrell , Dan Farrell & Steve Farrell, and a brother George "Bill" Linihan, The family wishes to thank the staff of Saint Francis Hospice and Ruth's home health aid, Deena. Ruth was a lifelong Catholic and a member of St Thomas More Parish since its founding. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. A rosary will be held 4 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
