Ruth Marie Peters Franz was born October 22, 1924 to Theodore and Viola Peters in Detroit, Michigan. She died peacefully at home on November 28, 2022.

Ruth is preceded in death by her loving husband of forty-six years, John William "Bill" Franz. They were married in Phoenix, Arizona in 1956.

She is survived by her four children, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild: daughter Therese Marie Franz of Austin Texas; son Thomas Joseph Franz, and children John William Franz and Emily Marie Franz of Joplin, Missouri; son James Patrick Franz of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and daughter Mary Kathleen (Franz) Bieser of Tulsa, and children Nicholas William Bieser of Yukon, OK and Madison Marie Bieser of Tulsa, Oklahoma and great-granddaughter Nova Rose Bieser of Yukon, Oklahoma.

Ruth was a long-time member of Church of the Resurrection Catholic Parish in Tulsa.

A Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a Rosary to follow at 6:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel on Thursday, December 1, 2022. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 2, 2022, at Church of the Resurrection, with Father Mike Knipe and Father Duy Nguyen celebrants. The Funeral Mass will be live streamed on Church of the Resurrection Tulsa OK Facebook page.
