Ruth Ann Head of Tulsa and Grove, OK has risen to Heaven to join her husband James Robert (Jim) on Saturday, May 31, 2014.
Ruth Ann Schult was born in Elkhart, IN, in 1933. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim, her parents Wilbur J. and Gail Bruns Schult and her sister Miriam. She is survived by three sons, two daughters, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, her sister Helen Seidel, several nieces and nephews, and her life-long best friend Marlene Bolton.
Ruth Ann, while attending Southern Methodist University, met Jim Head, a student at Oklahoma A & M (now Oklahoma State University) on a blind date. They were married on January 5, 1952 and celebrated 56 wonderful years of marriage. Throughout their lives together, Jim and Ruth Ann shared the wonders of The Lord with their family and friends in Tulsa, OK at John Knox Presbyterian Church, and Victory Christian Church, and in Grove, OK at Cornerstone Church.
The blessed family members Ruth Ann will be watching over include her children Steve Head and his wife Nette of Bedford, NH, John Head and his wife Missy of Fountain Hills, AZ, Jane Head Dugbo and her husband Richard of Overland Park, KS, Teresa Head Borden and her husband Bruce of Rowlett, TX, and Randy Head and his wife Diana of Deland, FL. Her grandchildren include Danah and Michael Head, Sade Joy and Sola Dugbo, Summer Ann Borden Riverra and Chelsea Borden, and Rachael Head Turner and Rebecca Head; her Great grandchildren are Christopher and Courtney Ann Deckard, Schyllor, Robert, and Aubryn Redmond, Emersyn and Ayler Head and Boston Riverra.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel, 3612 E. 91st Street South, Tulsa, OK. The celebration of her life will be held Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 10:00 am, at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, 5111 S. Memorial Drive, Tulsa, OK.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cornerstone Church of Grove, 501 South Main, Grove, OK 74344.
