Obituary
Ruth Ann (Hicks) Robb passed away Friday, January 17, 2014, in her home surrounded by her family. Ruth was born October 10, 1920 in Allen, OK, the daughter of Minnie (Jumper) and Gus Hicks. The next year her family moved to Ardmore, OK. She met her future husband, Ernest, at Ardmore High School and they graduated together in 1938. They married in 1939 and had eleven children. Her deepest loves were her Catholic faith, her husband and her treasured children.
She is survived by sons: Paul, David, Steve, Mark, Jeff and Eric Robb; daughters: MaryAnn VanVeen, Cecilia Connelly, Kathy Martin, Christina Taylor and Jane Mullenax; 30 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved Ernest, two grandchildren, Aaron David Taylor and John Bernard Robb, son-in-law Capt. William "Mike" Connelly, and daughter-in-law Britany Robb, sisters: Mary Harrell, Opal Hicks, Marie Lawrence and Jeanne Johns; and brother Fred B. Hicks.
A Rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Fitzgerald Ivy Chapel with Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Cathedral, 10:30 a.m., Wednesday. Interment will be Thursday, 1:00 p.m., at Rose Hill Cemetery, Ardmore, OK.
In lieu of flowers, Mother and our family request donations to Holy Family Cathedral School, 820 S Boulder Ave, Tulsa, OK 74119.
