Ryan Ray Frances Gomez, 26, passed away Sunday September, 23 in Fairplay, CO.
He was born in Stillwater, OK to Daniel and Angelia Gomez. He spent his childhood exploring new cities with his family including Stillwater, OK, Wichita, KS, Kansas City, MO, Norman, OK, West Palm Beach, FL, and Tulsa, OK. He attended Bishop Kelley High School and Tulsa School of Arts and Science. His venturesome nature later led him to move to Fairplay, CO, where he spent his free time fishing, camping and enjoying the mountains. Ryan had a heart of gold, and spent his life seeing the good in everything, he was the kind of person to always put others before himself and give love endlessly. His smile could light a room and warm your soul, he was quietly brilliant, but so humble and kind, and always hardworking. Ryan spent much of his life at his siblings sides, laughing, journeying, and enjoying life. He was undeniably loyal, a trait which made his friends more like family.
He is survived by his mother Angelia, sister Brittney her husband Matthew, their son Calvin, and his brothers Brandon, and Devon. He is also survived by his grandpparents Mike and Donna Gomez, uncles: Matthew Gomez, Andrew and wife Barbara Gomez, Paul and wife Emily Gomez and his Aunt Kim and husband Brad Curry. He is preceded in death by his father Daniel Gomez, his grandparents Raymond and Frances Smith, and his Aunt Margaret Solmon. Ryan was a beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, Grandson, Nephew, and friend.
The loss of someone so young is tragic, and yet, in such a short time he managed to overcome so much, and make a lasting impact on so many. He will be eternally missed but his memory will forever live on in the numerous hearts and lives he's touched.
A rosary will be held at 5:30 p.m. October 5th, with funeral services October 6th at 10 a.m. at Saint Catherine Church, 4532 S 25th W Ave, Tulsa OK 74107.
