Obituary

Scott Sitrin, 52, of Tulsa, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2015, at St. Francis Hospital after a long and courageous battle with Leukemia.  Scott was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on May 29, 1963 to Lawrence and Marcee Sitrin.

After graduating from Edison High School in 1981 and then the University of Miami, he worked in Restaurant Management for Wendy's, Subway and El Paso Barbeque.  He was a big sports fan and loved OU sports.  He loved to bowl and play golf with his friends.  His favorite television show was "Pawn Stars", and he wanted to go to Vegas to meet  Chumlee.

Scott had a big heart and gave a lot to his family.  He was a father figure to his niece and nephew and had nicknames for each of them.  Marcee was the "Little Flea" and Marshal was the "Big Flea".  He loved dogs and had many of them for pets.  His best friend was "Eccles", a Pekingese.

Survivors include his sisters, Shelly Gilpin, of Tulsa, OK, and Karen Southern, of Gladstone, Missouri, and their spouses; nieces, Marcee Sitrin and Megan Southern; nephews, Marshal Sitrin and Charles Southern; and 3 cousins and 3 aunts in the Kansas City area.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Marcee Sitrin, and grandparents, Morris and Loretta Sitrin, all of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and grandparents, Earl and Serena Moldaver, of Overland Park, Kansas.

Memorial Donations can be sent to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or your local animal shelter.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery , 4161 East Admiral Place, on Friday, June 12, at 12 Noon.
