Shauna Irene Olinger
McCollough

Christ Church NWA
Starts at 11:00 am (Central time)
Shauna Olinger McCollough, 72, passed away peacefully on June 3 surrounded by the love of her family. Born on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 1953 in Lincoln, Nebraska, Shauna was the daughter of Kenneth and Gwenlavere Olinger. She and her siblings, Bob Olinger and Shari Olinger Williams, grew up together in Tulsa, sharing a close bond that endured through the years.
Shauna graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene and returned to Tulsa to begin her career as a dental hygienist.
Shauna met the love of her life, Bill, at church in the fall of 1976. The beautiful woman in the peach dress caught his eye, and the following September they began a marriage that would span 48 years. Shauna and Bill had two children, Craig (Carly) and Kristin (Jake Bauer), and seven grandchildren, Easton, Anniston, Benny, Carter, Eiley, Violet, and Livi. Her family was her greatest joy.
Faith was an important part of Shauna's life. She was active in her church for many years, treasured the community she built through her small groups, and enjoyed serving as Chaplain of the Little Lighthouse. Her faith guided the way she lived and the way she cared for those around her.
Shauna turned her love of interior design into her own business, but the joy came from sharing that passion with family and friends. From shopping trips to countless conversations about colors, fabrics, and finishes, she loved helping others create beautiful spaces. More than anything, she treasured the connections made along the way and the time spent with those she loved.
Shauna loved the game of bridge and shared that passion through teaching, competing, and playing with friends. She also delighted in bringing her family together around the dining room table for evenings of cards, laughter, and friendly competition.
Shauna was creative, warm, and incredibly funny. She was an example to us all in courage, never allowing fear or life's challenges to keep her from the people and moments that mattered most.
Shauna was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. All are invited to celebrate Shauna's life at a memorial service and reception at Christ Church NWA, Fayetteville, Arkansas, on Wednesday, June 24 at 11:00 am.
Donations may be made in her memory to the Shauna McCollough Memorial Fund at Christ Church NWA in Fayetteville, Arkansas, or to a charity meaningful to the donor.
