Obituary

Sherman Ray, long time Tulsa resident and Master Tailor, passed away Sunday, September 24th 2023, at the age of 102, from complications of liver cancer. Sherman had lived at Zarrow Pointe for many years and made many friends there. Sherman was born in Bialystok, Poland in spring 1921. He was a Concentration Camp survivor who immigrated to Oklahoma in the 1950's.
Sherman was a hardworking father and husband. He always did his best to make sure his children had the advantages he missed as a child. As a Tailor, he worked with many of Tulsa's movers and shakers including judges, lawyers, and oil men. Sherman continued as a Tailor up to the age of 98, when COVID forced him to close his shop. Sherman was a member of Congregation B'Nai Emunah.
