Obituary
She was Born April 12, 1947, to parents Don and Dorothy Schwantes (now deceased) in Winfield Kansas.
She is survived by Husband Robert Helms of Tulsa whom she was married to since September 25th, 1971, daughter, Sabrina Helms of Tulsa, Sabrina's wife Jennifer Laub of Tulsa and son Rob Helms of Olympia Washington.
Sherry was best known for her kindness and loving heart. Her legacy lives on at the park named for her, Helms Park adjoining the Forest Creek Swim Club where she managed the swim club for many years. Sherry loved her community, on Easter Sherry would don her Easter Bunny Costume, riding on her scooter to parade the neighborhood children to the park for the annual Easter egg hunt.
This was Sherry Helms, a light to her community, a light to her family.
She will be forever missed and forever loved.
