Obituary
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Sophie Marie Buss, passed away August 16, 2014 in Tulsa. Sophie was born January 18, 1923, in Shoal Creek, Arkansas, to Joseph and Rose (Engel) Buss. She later settled in Tulsa and worked as a cashier for various firms.
In her later years, Sophie enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family, and watching the Atlanta Braves.
She is survived by her son David and his wife, Wendy, along with two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one brother and four sisters.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 19, 2014, from Noon until 5:00 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., both at Fitzgerald Ivy Chapel, 1402 South Boulder Avenue, Tulsa. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 20 at St. Francis Xavier Church, 2434 East Admiral Blvd, Tulsa, with Interment on Thursday, August 21, 1:00 p.m. at St. Scholastica Cemetery in New Blaine, Arkansas.
