Dr. Stan Beason, 81, United Methodist Minister and thaumaturgical dad was welcomed by heaven, Monday, March 25, 2014 at Emeritus, Cedar Ridge, Broken Arrow, OK.
Preceded in death by; parents, S.E. and Ethel P. Beason and son Stan R. Beason.
Surviving family members are: Caroline Neller, Renae White, Mark Mayne, Carnie Moore and Faith Raymer; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was a well-educated man who earned a Master of Art at the University of Alabama, a Master of Journalism at American University of Washington and Doctorate of Theology from Emory University.
After a long career as a Methodist minister he moved to Tulsa to direct the Prayer Partner Program at the City of Faith, then moved on to Pastoral Counselor at First Methodist downtown.
He was an avid craftsman, imagistic storyteller and compassionate listener.
Memorial Services will be held at Fitzgerald Funeral Home-Southwood Colonial Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2014, with reception/visitation to follow.
