Obituary

Stephen Dale Leddy was born in San Angelo, Texas, on September 15, 1944. He died at home in Tulsa, OK, and went to Heaven on Friday, May 15th, 2026, at the age of 81 years. He bravely battled heart failure until he died peacefully in his sleep.

Stephen graduated from high school, having been chosen Class President for all four years. He was active in track and set a State record of 9.4 100 meter dash. After graduating four years of college at Baylor and University of Texas, he graduated with M-Div from Southwestern Baptist Seminary, in Fort Worth, TX.

He was in Christian ministry as a composer of Christan music, that he received from God. One of his songs, Worthy Is The Lamb, was placed in the Baptist Hymnal. He shared his music in churches throughout Texas and other states requested, always keeping his time away to a minimum, for the love of his family..

Stephen was happily married to his first love, Charlotte Leddy, for 52 years. They have 3 grown sons, Matthew, Jonathan, and Aaron Leddy. They homeschooled their family while being Presidents of a 200 Christian family group. All of their sons are successful and faithfully walk with Jesus. Matthew is married to Dede, with a beautiful 4-year old daughter, Everley; Aaron is married to Haley with their son, Cayden 7, and new baby girl Carter Jo Ann. Jonathan is engaged to be married to Gloria Barbosa.

Stephen loved to play his classical guitar and write music. He loved his wife and family, enjoying this gift from God, everyday of his life. He was active in his church in Fort Worth, Tx, where they raised their family, until moving to Tulsa, OK, last July, 2025. They joined the Life.Church Tulsa South, where they actively attended with their son, Aaron and wife, Haley.

Including his immediate family, Stephen is survived by his younger sister, Martha Schultz, and her husband, Dick Schultz. His sister, Debbie, and his Mother and Dad have greeted him home in heaven.

Stephen always asked this question when he met someone, "Do you know Jesus?" He loved Him with all his heart, and trusted Him as his Savior, receiving Eternal Life. His favorite scripture was "I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me". Philippians 4:13.

The Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 22nd, at 1pm, at Life.Church South Tulsa, 7071 E. 121st St. South, Bixby, OK 74008.
