Stephen D. O'Sullivan, beloved father, died peacefully at home on October 16, 2020 surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 85.
He was born September 12, 1935 in New York, NY. He was the eldest son of Irish immigrants, David & Kathleen O'Sullivan. He is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Lynn, two sisters and a younger brother.
He is survived by his eldest sister Margaret, his three children Shannon, Sean, Stephen II and their spouses, his grandchildren Madelyn, Kate, Emily, Connor, Sullivan, Maggie and Ella and his loving and devoted companion of 23 years, Nancy Sacra.
After service in the Army, he earned a degree in accounting at St. John's University in NY, NY. He achieved his MBA and worked for American Airlines for 30 years. At the time of his retirement he was Vice President & Controller of Revenue & Accounting. After retiring from AA he continued to serve on the Board of American Beacon for many years. He was an active member in his Parrish of St. Bernard of Clairvaux from its formation in 1978. He and Lynn lived their faith through their actions toward others. Their impactful legacy lives on.
Public Viewing is to be held at Fitzgerald Southward Colonial Chapel, 3612 E. 91st St. South on October 25, 2020 from 3-5pm. Funeral Mass is at St. Bernard's Catholic Church on October 26, 2020 at 11:00am. This mass will have virtual access via
