Stephen Charles Smith, 64, passed away June 15, 2016, at Clarehouse Hospice, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born October 20, 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri, to James Willard Smith and Rosemary Donegan Smith.


Stephen grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and Joplin, Missouri. He graduated from Parkwood High School in Joplin in 1969. After high school he joined the Army and served in Germany. He received an AA Degree from Tulsa Junior College in 1979. He retired from the Williams Company in 2002 after 30 years of employment. After retiring, he was involved in various volunteer services.


Stephen loved his church, Holy Family Cathedral of Tulsa, and faithfully served there as a Sacristan and Extraordinary Minister where it is said he was a "quiet and faithful servant".
Stephen never married but was dearly loved by his six siblings and eighteen nieces and nephews.


Steve is survived by: his brothers, Jim Smith (Valerie) of Houston, Texas, Danny Smith (Lora) of Joplin, Missouri, Thomas Smith (Barbara) of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and his sisters, Jane Rinehart, of Kansas City, Missouri, Ann Domjan (Gabe) of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and Susan Taylor (Jay), of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at Holy Family Cathedral, 10:00 AM, on Tuesday, June 21, 2016. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Tulsa.
