Obituary

Stephen Roscoe Worley was born June 28, 1955, in Fort Worth, Texas, and entered his heavenly home on February 9, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He graduated from Clovis High School in Clovis, New Mexico, in 1973 and worked for the Sante Fe Railroad for several years. He loved motorcycles and rebuilding automobiles and was skilled at painting and body work. Steve also was a skilled craftsman and owned a construction and remodeling business, and he often used these skills to help widows in need. He attended Rhema Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and was ordained by Global Connections International. Steve served as the Facilities Director at Victory Christian Center for twenty-seven years from 1990-2017 and managed a variety of construction and remodeling projects. As the Tulsa Chapter President of the Tribe of Judah Motorcycle Ministry, he impacted countless lives for Christ by sharing his testimony of God's redeeming grace. He also led a weekly Bible Study at Paragon Industries as well as a home Bible Study for several years. Steve will be remembered by many for his great humor and his incredible ability as a prankster. His vibrant personality made him the center of attention when he entered a room and he always lightened the mood.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ladson Roscoe Worley and mother, Billie Galloway Worley, brother, David Ladson Worley, and brother in-law, Robert L.Young.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Carol (Donjon) Worley, whom he married on December 30, 1995, a son Jesse (Stacey) Rise; daughter Rachel Worley; and grandson Isaiah Larson; sister, Sheryl Young of Edmond, Oklahoma and brother, Daryl Worley and wife Christa of Waco, Texas, sister-in-law Roxana Worley Caldwell and husband Paul Caldwell of Conway, Arkansas. Father-in-law Irvin (Jean) Donjon of Belleville, IL; brothers-in-law Glen Donjon of Swansea, IL, John (Pat) Donjon of St. Louis, MO, and Rick (Joanne) Donjon of Columbia, IL; sisters-in-law Denise (Jim) Benson of Belleville, IL; Suzanne (Dave) Davenport of Red Bud, IL; and Mary Donjon of Belleville, IL, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel, 3612 E. 91st Street South, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74137. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Praise Center Ministries, 5672 East Hwy. 117, Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
