Stuart Goodall
1941-2018
Stuart Goodall passed away November 4th at home, surrounded by infinite love from his family.
Stuart was born to Charles and Bessie Goodall on January 1, 1941—a New Year's baby.
After graduating Edison High School, Stuart attended University of Michigan. As a junior he met Sherri Blanc, a freshman. He wooed her with greeting cards containing 15Cents for a phone call. She finally returned his call after another friend whom she grew up with, and knew Stuart, told her to stay far away…Stuart was the campus playboy. That's all Sherri needed to hear and she called him back immediately. The rest is history.
After graduating Michigan, Stuart went into the Air Force Reserves. He chased Sherri for 4 years until SHE caught him. They were married in 1964.
Stuart joined the Oil and Gas industry with family. He had many hobbies, most having to do with electronics. He had one of the first CB radio set-ups, and would talk to people all over the world. He was the kid who had to have the newest gadget on the block.
In 1998, Stuart became a Managing Partner with his sister of Producers Assets Management. He was also active in real estate and the stock market.
One of his early passions was collecting old, classy cars. Rolls Royces, Gull Wing Mercedes and DeLoreans. Most of them didn't last long, and Sherri never knew what she'd be driving.
With the arrival of Denise and 4 years later, Kevin, life changed. Summers became rafting trips, beach trips and family outings.
Life only got better when Denise married Michael Glimcher and produced three of the GREATEST grand-children; Leah, Grant and Blair. Stuart adored his grandchildren and they named him Gigi. The loving memories he shared with his grandchildren added a luster to his life.
Stuart and Sherri traveled the globe, sharing many unforgettable experiences. They both loved golf and ventured out on several golf trips with friends.
Stuart was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Bessie Goodall. He is survived by: his loving wife Sherri, of 53 years; daughter, Denise Glimcher (Michael); son, Kevin Goodall; grandchildren, Leah, Grant and Blair Glimcher; and his sister, Cookie Goodall Kaiser.
The family would like to thank the loving hospice care given by Ronda and Crystal of Interim Health Care.
Funeral services will be Thursday, November 8th at noon, at B'nai Emunah Synagogue.
In lieu of flowers, please honor Stuart with memorial contributions to either: gifts.mdanderson.org (lung cancer research), B'nai Emunah Synagogue (Goodall/Blanc Art Fund) 1719 S. Owasso, Tulsa, Ok 74120, or Meals on Wheels.
