Susan M. Emery was born March 15, 1957 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and died on February 3, 2021. Her parents, Robert S. and Mary Ann Emery and nephew Eric B. Largent predeceased her. Susan is survived by her son, Jason Emery, two sisters, Elizabeth A. Largent and Anne E. Foster and her husband, Chris, and brother, Dr. Robert T. Emery and his wife, Jennifer, along with four nieces and three nephews.
Susan graduated in 2003 from University of Oklahoma with a master's degree in social work and was a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She was most recently working for Phoenix Rising Alternative School in Tulsa as a School Based Therapist.
Memories of Susan include her love of music, animals, art, and helping others. She never met a stranger and was very generous with her talents and gifts. Susan was a member of the St. Pius X Church and loved singing with the folk group there. She helped establish the therapeutic education program at Tulsa Stained Glass and deeply enjoyed her time there creating stained glass artwork. Susan also loved her pets, leaving behind two dogs, Lucky and Ginger, her cat, Tuxie, and 2 guinea pigs.
Susan's funeral service will be at 10am on Friday, February 19th at St. Pius X Church. The funeral will be live streamed on the St. Pius X Church facebook page for those who would like to attend but cannot be there. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Pius X Church or Catholic Charities.
