Susan Pyeatt Ennis (November 15, 1933 - April 22, 2024) passed away at her home at Legends of Tulsa Hills. Susan was born in 1933, the middle child of Frederick Ewing and Ruth Fagan Pyeatt. She grew up in Tulsa with her siblings Nancy, Freddie, Pat, and Martha, who have all preceded her in death.
Susan graduated from Marquette High School in Tulsa and Catholic University in Washington DC with a math degree. Susan married William Ennis and had 2 children, Buck and Fred. Susan moved back to Tulsa and worked for Sinclair Oil and Amoco Oil in the emerging field of computer science. She led an artificial intelligence team at Amoco and was active in the Tulsa Geological Society, when she retired in 1988.
Susan lived in the Swan Lake neighborhood from 1965 to 2017 and influenced the lives of many from her immediate family, numerous cousins, friends and neighbors, and especially her friends at Queenie's restaurant in Utica Square.
Susan is survived by her son, William Buck Ennis, his wife Marcia, and their 2 children Ollie and Julia; and her son Charles Fred Ennis, his wife Beth, and their 2 children Stacey (husband Rob) and Bruce (wife Jeannette); and great-grandsons, Bruce and Nolan. She was preceded in death by great-grandson Chase.
Susan requested no service and requested memorial donations to local charities, in lieu of flowers.
