Susan Marie (Uhren) Gawey
Susan Marie Gawey was born October 18, 1964 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Wilfred and Maureen Uhren. After one last beautiful smile while her brother held her hand and surrounded by family, she passed away on August 18, 2012 at the age of 47. As a child, she and her brothers grew up in New York and Colorado, before settling in Tulsa. Susan graduated from Bishop Kelley High School and received her degree from the University of Tulsa in 1987. She was a longtime member of the Church of St. Mary. Susan was a loving wife and mother, and she adored her two little miniature daschunds, Annie and Ada. She is survived by husband of 20 years, Mark Gawey, sons Samuel and Joseph, four brothers, sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Friends may contribute in Susan's memory to Catholic Charities, Stand Up 2 Cancer, or the charity of their choice. A Rosary will be said 7pm Tuesday, August 21, 2012 and Funeral services will be held at 10am Wednesday both at the Church of St. Mary.
