Sybil Theresa Weeldreyer, age 95, passed away on January 29th, 2026.
Sybil, daughter of Wayne and Emma Lawson, was born October 14th 1930 in Huron, South Dakota. After graduating Notre Dame Academy in Mitchell, South Dakota and beginning work at Sitrin Petroleum, she moved into a lifetime career of accounting. She found fulfillment in 30+ years working for H.W. Allen Company in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Outside of work she was a loyal and devoted parishioner of The Church of St Mary in Tulsa, Oklahoma since October 1st 1964. Enthusiastically volunteering in many areas: Working in the church office, as a eucharistic minister, assisting with church linens, and visiting local nursing homes. Early in life she enjoyed watercolor painting and was a talented square dancer. Always an avid reader throughout her life, she also took joy in cross stitching and needlepoint hobbies. She had a lifelong love of card playing; especially Canasta and Bridge.
She is survived by her son, John Weeldreyer and wife, Susan Weeldreyer and daughter, Mary Weeldreyer. By her sister, Darlene Young of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Her grandchildren: Eric Weeldreyer, and wife Kristen Weeldreyer. Sarah Weeldreyer of Fort Worth, Texas. Jennifer Weeldreyer of Cypress, Texas. Jeremy Weeldreyer. Kevin Weeldreyer and Kimberly Weeldreyer. Her great grandchildren: Nathan Weeldreyer, Ally Weeldreyer, David Weeldreyer, Maddie Weeldreyer, Zachary Weeldreyer, Autumn Weeldreyer, Savannah Weeldreyer, Cameron Weeldreyer, Jack Weeldreyer, Emma Weeldreyer, Cally Weeldreyer, and Kevin Weeldreyer Jr.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Wayne and Emma Lawson of Huron, South Dakota. Her brothers; Don Lawson of Richfield Minnesota and Barry Lawson of Ozone Park, New York. Her sister; Shirley Young of Omaha, Nebraska and Her son, Bill Weeldreyer.
Services will be held at The Church of St Mary in Tulsa, Oklahoma
Rosary: Wednesday Evening, February 4th at 6:30pm
Funeral Mass: Thursday Morning, February 5th at 10:00am
